Boy this is killing me, I mean real gnawing at me. I am exasperated at my own inability to see the obvious. I can't think for the love of God and Man and Woman and all animal kind as to who this could be. I have met you and that too several times and I have no clue. You are not from Glads and looks like from your response not from DD as well, then how in the world could I have met you several times. The other thought was Bridges but you are not from Bridges either else you won't pick DD to beat Bridges. So who could you be??? Reply

Dilip, I see DD as a great team, I still believe that you have good chances to beat Bridges and making it to playoffs, of course I agree it's not easy at all.. wish you good luck, and yes I'm a fan of DCL.. 🙂 Reply

DD team has the capabilities to burn down the Bridges, it is a do or die situation for DD.
Detroit Blues are going to upset GLCC as it is crunch time for them too. Watch out for some unexpected fireworks before playoffs teams / matchups are finalized:) Reply

Is this the same fake FHCC Fan or FHCC Fan2 who threatened to give Glads a drubbing or at claimed at least to beat us up. This smells a rat like FHCC fan and FHCC Fan2 before smelled a rat. Fortunately Sam smelled that rat from miles away. This type of comment is going to needlessly waken those sleeping giants. Let the Giants sleep!!! BTW – Those two teams are tough so beating them will be a very tough task but both DD and Blues can get it done. Long ago Vitas Gerulaitis lost to Jimmy Connors 16 times in a row and in the 17th match, Vitas beat the great Jimbo and quoted one of the greatest sports quotes of all time "And let that be a lesson to you all. Nobody beats Vitas Gerulaitis 17 times in a row" Maybe the Blues after losing the DFC Cup final can pull out an upset and then issue the comment "Nobody beats the Blues two times in a row in Do or Die games" 🙂 Now that would make for real theater if they can pull it off!!!! Guys I was just told that Blues got bonus against GLCC which really changes playoff picture. Glcc will now be A3. ACC will be A2. Pokiris will be A4 Reply
  42. September 14, 2013
Wow… if true, this indeed is the biggest story out of today's games… Yes, this sure will swap the A2/A3 positions…meaning Glads think tank won't have to worry about GLCC until Finals, and that's if both teams make that far…… Reply
    • September 14, 2013
Rashid reliable sources have confirmed to me that it is indeed true. It is not just Glads think tank that is happy as if I know you well you are standing on your head and doing a break dance and Rehan sitting in Pakistan might be dancing like Salman Khan with his shirt off. We all know that this is gigantic for BT because playing against GLCC and ACC in a QF Game are two totally different beasts. Reply
  43. September 14, 2013
Viju based on historical data and team chemistries I'm sure you know very well who would be more happy and dancing on their feet, head…. etc 🙂 on a serious note , if we have learned anything in recent times it's teams current form what matters most … And even if I give you your assesment i.e QF would be a bit of relief for us (which I personally don't completely agree , given ACC's form)… We know what would be waiting for us in SF :)) again that's if we make that far…. Cheers!!! And btw thanks for the real time updates, it's like watching the live election results, for people who have interest in politics ….really appreciate …keep it up man. Reply
    • September 14, 2013
I agree with you Rashid – we are delighted not to have Glcc in our side simply for the fact that historically we have not matched well against them. They are like kryptonite for us 🙁 but we always knew we only have to face them in SF if we make it that far so I guess we will chill for now:-) thanks for the compliments but all the updates and I were just trying to be helpful to all teams as I know all want to follow closely and today I was off as our game is tomorrow Reply
  44. September 14, 2013
Viju -How come Glcc on A3 and ACC on A2? ACC got a bye gives only 4 points according to rule book , so both team ends with same pints 44 points Reply
    • September 14, 2013
ACC did not get a bye rather they got a walkover so it is not their fault that Dynamites did not play. In a walkover, ACC gets full 5 points. Historically that has always been the case – when BT gave Glads a walkover in Regular season we got all 5 points and at that time Yasir was the Captain if I am not mistaken. That game was to be held in Lansing and BT did not have a viable 11 so they gave us a walkover. ACC can't be penalized just because their opponents gave them a walkover…. Plain and simple rule. Reply
  45. September 14, 2013
Looking forward to continuation of undefeated run for Glads team, they take on Indus tomorrow. Very few teams in DCL have been able to do that in the regular season and Glads have chance to make history for 2013:) Reply
    • September 14, 2013
Glads will remain undefeated in Regular season as Glads have just been given a walkover by Indus. We are not happy about taking a walkover as we wanted to play Indus and keep ourselves in the groove. I was not playing the game tomorrow but many of my players needed the fine tuning alas it was not to be. We thank Azeem and Team Indus for the advance notice as this does allow us to inform all our players and make alternative plans. Reply

Knockers tried everything to win the critical game against raptors.Brought 3 players from leather ball(John Titus,Prajwal Shetty, and our Matta) Reply
    • September 14, 2013
We got to put this in perspective. There are two schools of thought under such circumstances – 1. Get whoever you need to get and do whatever it takes to get the game into the win column. 2. Play with only the people you have on the roster that you can use in the playoffs as that is the team that has to get the job done when push comes to shove. Raghu and Knockers used Option 1 so much so that Matta was kept top secret. it would be fair to say that most or none on the Knocker team knew that Matta was going to play for them. Even Sanoj was kept in the dark in this top notch heist. In all my years in the DCL, I have seen quite a few well executed heists but this heist was by far the best one that I can recall. This one move by Raghu certainly got Knockers the win as Matta alone scored over 30+ runs and in a game that was won by a paltry 3 or 4 runs – that one decisive strategic move ensured Knockers qualified for Playoffs. If I had known that Matta was playing for Knockers, I too would have picked Knockers to win the game. Raptors almost chased the total down – I thought it was a brilliant effort. Vijay and Vinod played fabulous knocks and Vinod's runout really hurt the Raptors but what really put a dagger in the Raptor hearts was probably the unexpected no show of Raj on game day. A semi healthy Naveen Jetta on the sidelines watching helplessly did not help matters as Raptor planning fell short in a critical game. In the end – from a neutral standpoint what was obvious to the casual impervious observer was the fact that Raghu wanted the win more and was willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to get the objective he had in mind. If you are an employer then you want that kind of an employee heading your team – trust me it is that plain and simple. Raptors and some other teams in action yesterday used Option 2. Which option is better – it really depends on your team strategy and both options have their own advocators and detractors. Everyone knew this game was going to be an all out war and both teams were going to go hard for the B4 spot so I would say all the plots, sub plots etc was just icing on the cake and just ensured that the game lived to its advanced billing. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs. Reply

Wonder if they tried to import another 'Exposed' character from the now defunct MB Reply
      • September 16, 2013
I second what you said 'DCL Fan'. I know teams would like to win games, but never thought that teams like knockers would support such an unethical thing to win a game. If I was incharge of the committee here in DCL, I would have disqualified knockers for doing this type of thing. If a team doesn't have believe in their own abilities, they are not deserving team to move forward in the tournament. Teams should win hearts of people with their performances and practices. They shouldn't allow people to point fingers on their abilities. I am sure with what knockers did, they are certainly became cheap in a normal DCL follower. I see some people writing lot of blogs and doing lot of analysis, but they never talk about things like these. They just want to be cat on the wall.
Being a keen follower of DCL I have right to know why DCL is allowing these type of practices? If I am not going to get any explanation, DCL might lose not only a DCL enthusiast but also will be losing another team from DCL. Being the biggest T-ball league in USA, corrective action should be taken. Reply
        • September 16, 2013
Thank you my friend for your honest comments. You have made your opinions known. You may have the entire DCL fooled but you don't have me fooled. I know exactly who you are and I will bet every dollar in my pocket on who you are. You may think you went to great lengths to keep your identity sealed but you should have known that I am one of the sharpest guys in the business when it comes to reading a comment, analyzing a situation and making a judgment call. One reading of your comment and I knew exactly who you are. Figuring out who you are was child's play for me. BTW – Your name starts with a vowel (I am deliberately not stating whether it is a first name or last name else it will become too easy for others) – If you provoke me, I will spell your name letter by letter. With regards to you being in charge of DCL Committee – Well all I can say is "Thank God" you are not in charge of the DCL Committee. If you would disqualify the Knockers then what stops you from declaring your team the Champion so if you had your way then all teams are toast and are playing for the Runners Up trophy. Why talk about Knockers, I see that you will go to any extent to make your team the Champion. With regards to what the Knockers did – Here is my question to you. What DCL rule did they break by playing Matta, Prajwal and Titus? DCL has an open roster system and during the regular season they can play anyone they want to play and they exercised that right. All teams have the same ability. With regarding to Knockers allowing Matta to play, here is my question – How do you know if the Knocker management knew about what was going on? Maybe they knew nothing about this after all and as far as I am concerned this info exploded in DCL only this morning. Most I have talked to in DCL today told me that they had no clue about this. None of us know what the Knockers knew or did not know – We simply aren't sure of anything so why pass judgment on others with half baked information. We don't like it when someone does that to us so why should we revel in bashing someone else based on half baked information. This came to light only because Matta played this game (I am positive that had Matta not played, most of us would have been in the dark) and someone posted about the incident. Why is the rule different for Knockers and for you? You know that you have approached Matta and asked him to play for your team but suddenly the rule is different because he is on the opposition. Are you so special that there should be one set of rules for you and your team and another for everyone else. In this country you are innocent until proven guilty but you have already declared Matta guilty and have locked him in an underwater cage and thrown away the keys. Let the man have his fair day in court. Is that too much to ask!!!
Even tournaments like MDCL where players who have not played 1 ball till the final go and play the final. The MDCL Tournament allows it and everyone takes advantage of it. The Blues conducted a tournament and they allowed 25 players per team and anyone on that 25 man roster could go and play the finals. So what gives when the Knockers take advantage of DCL's open roster policy and bring three hired guns to win a game. I would not have done it but the reason behind it has everything to do with me wanting to win with what the players I have on my qualified roster, as I need my players to have confidence going into the Playoffs. I wish the Knockers had played with their men than look to hired guns to save the day (it would have been better for their team morale) but give them a break for they are a new team and they will learn things as the years roll along. It is a learning process and they are quick learners. What the Knockers did may not have been ideal but they certainly did not violate any DCL rulebook and are well within their rights to do what they did. Sure this may not sit well with some but I really don't worry about that. I know the popular thing right now to do is to bash the Knockers and that is easy to do because it is called jump on the "Bash Knockers" bandwagon but I would think we can be better than that. Regarding your insinuation that I am not talking about things like this – I would ask you to take a good honest look at yourself first before stating something against me. Don't make me go down the line where I start exposing your many missteps over the years and we know where that will end up. So here is a friendly advice – Don't bite off more than what you can chew else what I wrote last year on Exposed will look like a short story. Please do not provoke me needlessly!!! That is honest and sincere advice worth its weight in gold bullion!!! Reply

Hey Vijuzach, cool my friend. I am sorry if I offended you in any way with my phrase. But my intention was never to hurt you or drag a fight with you. We both completely sidetracked the issue. First of all even though my name might start with a vowel, but I am not the person whom you think. I don't have any personal grudge on you. Infact you are one of the persons I respect more in this DCL community. Your comments here made me aback and surprised. Now I understood that leaving a comment with little disappointment and pain of loosing could get you threatened. I should have remembered that this is your website and even though it says "Email never published", you always can see who is writing. But there is nothing to worry. My phrase was intended for all the people who write blogs including me. Sometimes I believe we should go with commonsense than rule books. I expected all people to react in that manner but unfortunately it landed me in this.
But onething I noticed is that sometimes your comments favor a particular team, which is not wrong. But with all the experience you have, people expect you to be more impartial than being biased. But nevertheless, we always love your blog and always respect for what you do. Once again sorry if I hurt you in any sense. Reply

First of all let me correct some fallacies respected Mr. Another DCL fan – I have no idea what your email id is and I never saw it and don't care what it is. When your comment got posted, it so happened that the man who won 4 Championships with the MB's was on the phone with me making a request to me to get his name cleared with Matta (as Matta was under the mistaken impression that my teammate had done him in) for Matta wrongly believed that the first post of yesterday that dropped the Matta bombshell on DCL came from my teammate. As I was reading the comment you had posted loud to my teammate (as it happened to be the latest comment and had just come in when I was on the phone), I told him I know who this is and then pronounced your name. My teammate then re-read your comment and agreed with me that 100% it was you. You see you have been in the DCL so long that we all are aware of your language style, your thought process and many other things about you that you yourself are not aware of. This is a case where your opponents know you better than you know yourself. Now that you and I know that your name starts with a vowel yet you want to assert to me that "….but I am not the person whom you think." How in the world do you know what I am thinking? Guess what, your buddy who was the main character and impersonator in the "Exposed" article also told all his close buddies on MB's that he was not the guy responsible for the offensive and characterless posts. My article and the subsequent investigations proved him to be an utter liar and even his own teammates could not defend him as they knew he was totally exposed like a hanging piñata suspended in mid air with his head chopped off. Every thief who gets caught says he never stole so your assertion that "….but I am not the person whom you think" after getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar holds no credibility with the DCL public – What else should they expect?
You and I have spoken several times and we know each other very well. Your team and my team has had several worthy duels and like you I have nothing against you. I have supported you on several things in the past and am sure that if you are on the right side I will extend support in the future also – At the end I will support that which is fair. By accusing me of being silent (and I really did not want to comment on an unfortunate situation in another person's life), you provoked me to give a hard response else I was simply minding my own business and focused on DCL and DCL related activities. Many in DCL have had fun at my expense like "Viju sitting on BP machine in Meijer etc." but I never took offense to any of those comments as that is all in good fun and was great DCL humor. I laughed just as hard as the one reading the post. I spoke with Matta for over two hours yesterday giving him semi-legal advice and found that you spoke to Matta (don't worry I did not reveal your identity) over the weekend but on Monday morning you posted this comment. That did not sit well with me. None of us are in Matta's shoes. It is a simple request – If you cannot help him then at least don't kill him but don't offer him lip service and then stab him in the back. That is called doing a Brutus!!! Playing Cricket takes his mind away from the deep hell that he is in. Why not just live and let live rather than have a live and let die policy.
With regards to the comments that sometimes my comments favor a particular team – If you go back and look, you will find that I have supported any team that I felt played fair. I love FCC, FHCC, RC, ACC, Cougars, Cruisers, Chargers, Blues and a whole bunch of other teams (and most of these are new teams) but then they all also play fair. Last year everyone loved the Knockers and when Knockers got shunted to the seeding that left them playing MB, all of DCL felt for them and was in their corner. You still have not told me as to which DCL rule the Knockers violated when they played these three guys. You cannot answer that question as you and I know very well that they did not violate a DCL Rule. Yet you in your own words say that if you were in charge of the DCL Committee "I would have disqualified Knockers for doing this type of thing." – I find that highly objectionable. I am sorry but there is no way in hell I will ever support that statement not even if my life depended on it. It is plain wrong. On the other hand, I already stated that I did not like the fact that the Knockers looked for help from three hired guns to beat the Raptors. What it tells me as an observer is they did not trust their own guys to get the job done. They viewed the giants on the outside as the real deal but the reality is they reached this far without one iota of help from any of these three hired guns. When Knockers played these three hired guns they made three of their regular players to take the seat. If I am one of the three who was made to sit out to make way for the three foreign players (I have no problem if they made me sit for one of their own on their qualified roster as my performance was not up to the mark and did not want to take chances in a crucial game) then I am not a happy man and I am justified in feeling that way. The other 8 guys who played for the Knockers along with the 3 foreign players should ask themselves this question – If they were made to sit for these three foreign players would they have liked it. If the entire Knocker team collectively made this decision then they have nothing to worry about and as far as I am concerned they have every right to play anyone they want including the "God of Cricket" Sachin Tendulkar himself. If they can do it then more power to them. If the team collectively made this decision then who are we to grudge their decision as they have every right to make this decision. No one stopped the other teams from making the same decision so why this kollaveri when Knockers made the decision. I need not like the decision but that does not mean the decision was wrong.
Since you persist in stating that "you are not who I think you are…." well you are forcing me to give one more clue about your identity which is the latest hot topic in DCL to the DCL Public ….. "Not only does one of your names (first or last as stated before) start with a vowel but your name also has a letter that stands for "Mans best friend!!!" Keep this charade of denying who you are up and I will keep giving one clue after another. The smart thing to do is stop while you are ahead!!! I have not yet revealed your name as I have fondness for you but at the same time do not expect me to be taken for a joy ride and keep quiet about it. BTW – Matta after reading this post would have figured out who you are but then again his mind is not thinking straight so he may not get it Reply

Viju please FIRE this reliable sources right away and HIRE me if you want to get real news in time.:) GLCC actually beat DB with their last wkt outstanding partnership. I witnessed both GLCC vs DB and Pokiris vs DH tense games. Now please you and Rashid stop dancing and focus for next game and ready to face GLCC no matter what:) I would ask only $100K per year if you HIRE me and I know only you may be the right employer:). Dear Mr. Appraiser – I never stated that Blues beat GLCC. Please show me one comment that says so and I will compensate you with a free dinner at a good restaurant. I only said GLCC beat Blues without bonus (after mistakenly reporting first that GLCC won with bonus). GLCC not getting bonus means GLCC will be A3 and will not be in the BT quarter or the Glads half so both Rashid and I are very much in the right if we decide to do non-stop break dancing or for that matter decide to invent a new salsa dance. BTW – If I fire my reliable sources and hire you Mr. Appraiser who gives me such false info like BT/Glads get ready for GLCC then the Glads organization will fire me faster than greased lightning conducts electricity. Thanks but no thanks – I will stay with my sources and no way GLCC lands in BT Quarter when ACC has 45 points and GLCC has only 44 points. No way, No how !!!! Reply

Vijju – I appologize to read DB got bonus and jump to write correction. You are right they lost and got bonus as you mentioned in your e-mail.
Anyway, you are right here lijke your experienced correct predictions. Also, you are right that BT and Glads will not face GLCC till final. I guess. I requested that just publish playoff blue prints one more time, but with teams name now. If you can. Thanks in advance.
I lost my chance of having a $100K job and you as an employer:). Reply

Food for thought :-This is how ppl should/can look at the raptors-knockers game. If a brilliantly organized terrorist organization pulls of a 9/11 you are just plain stupid if you give them credit for it. It is just ethically wrong period. It's a cowardly act to get players outside your roster for the last game of the season! And also, I was there to witness the atrocious umpiring decisions which most likely lead to the loss of raptors. And also, I am stumped as to how people have not yet questioned Mr so called LG's bowling action. Quite a few ppl from the audience thought he chucks too. Reply

This comment and name behind the comment(a more appropriate name was listed) has been moderated for language concerns ….. I know you are deeply hurt by the result of this match. I guess you were so much disturbed after the match that you couldn't stop yourself from dropping a note like this… understood u felt very saddened by the loss n LG had been a fear factor for u guys but u shudn't have commented about his bowling action… All the ppl from audience who felt he chucks can **** their wounds after being hit by his pace… Please go back to the cricket rule book and check what kind of bowling actions could be questioned u *****… Please stop giving these non sensible food for thoughts n feed ur brain instead to develop n think better…. Viju, food for thought!
Wouldn't it be a great year (after the unbeaten regular season) if the finals were between Glads VS glcc? I can just see the plots and the subplots of that final. AAA against AJ, SM vs AP, AB vs AR, VZ vs SK, RP vs RP. I would love to see this match up. Who is the real Ronak. You get my gist. I would be chopping at the bit to see this fina!!! Reply

No disrespect to GLCC… they are not looking like a championship team and no where comparable to Glads High Octane offense. I guess either Falcons, Knockers have a chance to play in the finals against glads. Reply

Glads team takes every opponent seriously and Viju knows it very well that in playoffs it is one game and at a time to reach the finals. We do not jump the gain and on any given day anything can happen, this has been very unpredictable season so far and Glads team find themselves blessed with undefeated run and hard work / effort of all the team members. You many projects whatever match ups, player to player comparisons but we feel every game is going to be competitive one from now on. Reply

gosh….I was astonished to see a lengthy email on our (Knockers) plan for the do or die match and the win we had….thanks Viju for making it clear to the audience that we didn't do anything wrong and followed all the ground rules set by DCL..I just want to clarify one point that I did mention to you that none of us knew on Matta playing but that was more from a surprise perspective and not suspense:-). Our team did know the playing 11 except John whom we could confirm Friday late night…It was a collective team decision to play the best 11 for this match. Coming to "Homo sapiens" who claim themselves as the incarnation of "Satya Harischandra" and making comments are acting like Shakuni….they need to realize that they are covering under dummy names and flying comments. Knockers didn't do anything wrong and did all as per DCL rules. if it does not fly with them that's fine….we don't feel we did anything wrong…I definitely know that anyone in our situation would have done the same or any other strategy to win the game…we focused on having a good team to qualify. There are 'n' number of strategies and we did what we felt was right…we didn't cheat anyone…my friends at Raptors did know whom we were playing on Saturday. The main team members who are under radar here did practice on Friday in front of Raptors…when Raptors didn't have concern I am not sure who this hidden character is who is tossing his baseless comments….if they were that keen on our team, they should have monitored our team roaster every hour…except John my entire roaster was updated by 121PM on Friday. I would sincerely request cricket enthusiasts to just focus and comment on cricket and don't get into anyone's personal life….please……I understand that cricket is said to gentlemen's game and let keep it as simple as that. coming to a gentleman who spoke about my buddy LG, its confirmed that he is scared of our lord….I think I need to educate this gentleman that LG is a top class on demand talent and has been pulled by great team across the states and NO comments have been made on action…lets appreciate the talent rather than feeling jealous….let me know if you have guts to hit our LG for a 6 in 6 balls with NO fielders and then make any further comments (disclosing yourself:-))……. Still waiting for Predictions from Kishan. The other 4 Analysts have their prediction all set. Looks like Kishan wants to think long and hard as he does not want to come last in Playoff predictions 😉 As soon as I get Kishan's predictions, I will send it to be published. Reply

In Playoffs the slate starts clean at 0-0. That is probably why he is thinking so hard. BTW – Vamsi is the defending Champion for Playoffs from last year so all the remaining 4 are gunning after Vamsi in the rat race 🙂 Reply

Boy, let me also brush up then, I would as usual unofficially be participating so now all the remaining 5 are gunning after Vamsi in the rat race 🙂 Reply

Of the top of my head as far as I am concerned, it is a two horse race between Glads AAA and Warriors Abhishek Rai. I see no other person in the same ball park. But I just spoke based on what I observed week in and week out. I have not looked closely at the stats – Maybe there is someone that may not have registered on my mind. So take this comment with a bag of salt i.e. I am just thinking loud and have not delved deeply into the subject. This is just a quick reply so read it with caution. For me an MVP must carry their team and must do whatever it takes for that team to be successful. Think Jordan, Joe Montana, Aaron Rodgers, Lebron etc. all winners who found a way even when their teammates stunk it up or did not do their far share. Both Rai and AAA have done a great job for their respective teams and often have been the one man standing between victory and defeat. AAA is blessed with a great surrounding cast while Rai's cast who have done well last year just did not do their fair share. I think they let Rai down big time which means Rai will not see the post season through no fault of his own while AAA carried his team to an undefeated regular season which has been done only by the MB in 2010 under Raghu Tadi's Captaincy and AA in the Nineties when the league had 6 to 8 teams and competition was super weak so that does not even count. In the end MVP's usually go to outstanding players on winning teams so I my gut feeling is AAA will get this one. Since I was asked the question – My vote is for AAA but then I am biased in this case so please take my vote in light of that bias – Just wanted to have fair disclosure of my bias. But I was very impressed with what Rai did and really felt bad for him – It must have been very frustrating to be that good all year and yet come up short. Hopefully he gets better help next year or maybe Minesh needs to fly in some help from India under the L1 visa program 🙂 Knowing Minesh he may do it 🙂 Reply

I wonder of all the Teams in this league – How many Batsmen have a batting avg. of 20 or more after the end of the season? I know lot of Hard Ball cricketers shy away form playing T-Ball saying it's a waste cricket, as they can't score enough runs. It'll be an interesting list – may also be under the radar guys. Reply
